A BIG, BIG THANK-YOU
Northfield's Annual Christmas Festival has been a great success! A big, big thank-you to everyone who has participated in whatever way. To all who came along and supported. To those who provided and worked at the stalls - such an amazing range of items, talents, gifts and skills on display. To those who have put in so much work behind the scenes to organise, prepare and set things up. To those who participated in "The Witness". It has been a fantastic effort all round. Well done.
Preliminary estimates, at the time of going to print, are that we have done much, much better than last year on all fronts. All the proceeds go towards reducing our building loans on the new sanctuary and complex.
Our services today will focus on the victory of the Kingdom of God. Sometimes, when we look at the mess the world is in, it is difficult to see that victory taking shape. But for those who have faith, we have this incredible assurance that God's protecting love is with us, both in this life, and even through death, into the next. For now it may be a hidden victory, visible only to those who have faith, but one day it will be made plain for all to see.
No matter what you are going through right now, know that Gods power and protection is with you. Jesus said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."
