Northfield Methodist Church

The aim of the ministry is to care for, and develop, small children. It is also to understand the problems the children face in their home environment, and to help alleviate those problems where possible. Approximately two hundred children, from babies to toddlers and pre-school children, are cared for on weekdays. This includes attending to physical needs such as food and hygiene, through to attending to developmental, educational and spiritual needs. New classrooms have been brought into use, a vegetable garden has been started, and sports facilities have been created. Over and above the work being undertaken at Nora's Creche, approximately three hundred children from a nearby primary school are fed on weekdays.
