Children's Church

Children's Church caters for all the children aged 0 to 12 years old including disabled children.  Our motto at Children's Church  is “Feed my lambs” and we try our best to do this for all the children that attend Children's Church.

BABIES
The Grace Room is a place where the parents can leave their babies with adult supervision and go into the sanctuary and enjoy the service.  The babies are well cared for and they stay in this section until they turn three.   This is currently offered only at the 8am service due to lack of volunteers.

PRE-SCHOOL
Once a child has turned three they will participate in pre-school which takes place in the Fellowship Hall. Here the children are placed in classes according to their ages.  They have a lot of fun and sing songs.  The teachers use different forms of story telling and the children get the opportunity of playing in our secure playground while waiting for their parents.

JUNIORS
When the child goes to Grade 1 they then move across to the Faith Hall where they fall under the Junior Department and stay here until they go to Grade 7 where they then fall under the Youth Ministry.  In the Junior Department, the children are also taught using different methods such as videos, drama’s, skits and puppets.  Once a year, the Grade 4’s to 6’s go away on camp, while the Grade 1-3 have a movie evening and sleep over at the Church. During the year, we have movie evenings where the children are encouraged to bring a friend.  During the July school holidays, we run a holiday club for all school-going children.

DISABLED CHILDREN
We encourage the disabled children to attend Children's Church as we have one dedicated teacher who specialises in children’s needs to work with these children and help them.
