“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. - Matthew 6:19-21

How do we do this? One way we store up treasures in Heaven is by investing in the lives of people through the work of the local congregation. Each week your giving to Northfield Methodist helps various ministries bring hope and blessing to hundreds of people.

Here is a fact: Ninety-seven percent of Northfield’s income comes from our own congregation. Clearly, God’s work in this place is critically dependent on each person’s willingness to give to the work of our congregation and to lay up real treasure in Heaven.

Here is an invitation to take Jesus seriously: Please prayerfully consider your own investment in terms of a consistent PRIORITY, PERCENTAGE and PROGRESSIVE approach to your tithes and offerings.

It would also be a great help if you would also consider, as far as possible, investing by way of an electronic EFT transfer. This is the safest and most convenient way of giving, and it allows for both a considered and a regular investment into God’s work as it takes place through our local congregation.
