Weekly Greeting: Sunday 6 July
Dear Friends
Warm greetings.
Thank you to all of you who made a pledge of monthly giving for the coming yerar. Our Generosity Giving adventure yielded 300 pledges totaling R236 544.00. We are extremely grateful to God for this response. Next week we will have a special thanksgiving moment around these pledges. You may also be interested to know that we received a number of one-off donations, some extremely generous, which allows us to settle some liabilities and build up some reserves. We trust that each of you will know more deeply the joy and blessing that comes from being a generous giver.
We have a very exciting week drawing near. From Friday 25 July until Sunday 3 August we will be hosting Philip Togwell and Ian Newman from the UK. They are part of the incredible 24/7 Prayer Movement which has swept around the world, particularly amongst young people. They have a full programme with us. They will spend time with the Elders, with our young people and young adults, with all cell group members, our elderly folk and then will be leading worship here on their closing Sunday with us. The full itinerary is available from Lisa at the church office - lisa@nfmc.org.za
The one event to which we are inviting all Northfielders and folk from other congregations is the Saturday workshop - 2 August, entitled "Living the Kingdom Life". We really hope that you will think about coming to this event. It is open to anyone who wants to grow in prayer and be part of God's dream of mending our broken world. Please note registration is essential, should you need further information about Philip and Ian's time with us, please contact Lisa.
A special word of welcome to all visitors with us today, especially as we begin our winter sermon series in the evening, entitled Free At Last.
