Dear Northfielders

Next Sunday is our Covenant Celebration! It is that one very special Sunday in the year when we renew our promise to love and serve the God we have come to know in Jesus Christ. We will use the following words to do this -

I am no longer my own but yours;

Put me to what you will.

Rank me with whom you will.

Put me to doing,

Put me to suffering;

Let me be employed for you

Or laid aside for you;

Let me be full;

Let me be empty

Let me have all things

Let me have nothing.

I freely and heartily yield all things to your pleasure and disposal.

These are big words! We can only say them unless we are really able to trust God. Hence the theme of today's worship - Is your God trustworthy? We hope and pray that as we worship God today we will be given the gift of a fresh and deep trust that no matter what we are going through. Only then will we be ready to pray this prayer with confidence and joy and freedom.

On Wednesday we began our mid-week teaching series Experience the Healing Presence.It will continue for five weeks. Ash Wednesday takes place on the 6th February. We will host a morning service at 07:00am and in the evening we will hold a Celtic Healing service at 19:00pm. A very special service to many of us, this will be held in the Sanctuary. It would be great to have you at either of these services.
