Warm greetings!

There are three 'events' that will be happening in the Sanctuary over the next few weeks. We would encourage you to keep a note of them and to share in these times of worship and learning.

First of all, please note our special guest preacher for Mother's Day and Pentecost Sunday. She will be the Rev Janet Verrier. Presently Janet is part of the pastoral team at Bryanston Methodist where she has a very effective teaching / pastoral ministry. We were really blessed by our last guest preacher, Pastor Leonard Stone and we are sure that you will enjoy Janet just as much. Please share this news with your friends and neighbours.

Secondly on Wednesday, 14 May Trevor Hudson will be speaking on "There Is More to The Secret". Over the past year the book "The Secret" has topped best-selling lists all over the world, including South Africa. Many of you have read it. Certainly, it is a book that raises significant questions for people of Christian faith. In his talk, Trevor will be exploring some of these questions. Please confirm your attendance by phoning the office (011-849-7031) or by giving in your name at the Info Desk.

Lastly, preparations are gradually getting underway for a 3-week sermon series entitled "Stepping into a world of miracle". This series will take place on Sundays 18th, 25th and 1st June. We know from the Bible that it is God's nature to bless so that we may bring blessing into the lives of others. But how do we enter into this experience of 'been blessed to be a blessing'? Together we will be exploring three things - firstly, Jesus' principle about treasures; secondly the depth of God's generosity and thirdly, God's amazing offer when we respond by offering all that we are and have to God's ministry. Watch this bulletin for further details about this series.
