Warm greetings,
A very special event awaits us as a congregation at the end of this month. Alexander Venter will be our guest speaker for a Healing Mission. The theme for the Mission will be Discovering God's Healing. Many of you already know who Alexander Venter is. Presently he is one of the leaders of the Vineyard Church in Southern Africa. He is a prolific author, having written three books - Doing Church, Doing Reconciliation and Doing Healing. He has a remarkable ability of making accessible to ordinary people the rich biblical resources of our faith. He already has ministered a number of times here at Northfield and we look forward to having him here again. His programme with us will be as follows:
On Saturday morning, 30 May from 9am until 12.30 Alexander will host a morning workshop entitled "Equipping for the Christian Healing Ministry". This workshop is open to all who are interested in this particular ministry. However, it is essential that you register for it. The cost is R50, which will be used to cover course materials. Please book at the information desk or at the church office.
On Sunday 31 May Alexander will be our guest preacher at the 8 and 10am and 6.30pm services. He will then continue the mission on Monday and Tuesday nights starting at 7pm. Themes for these services will be:
Sunday Morning:   Experiencing Spiritual Cleansing
Sunday Evening:   Finding Freedom from Compulsions and Addictions
Monday Evening:   Restoring Emotional Harmony
Tuesday Evening:  Experiencing Physical Healing
