Dear Friends
If this is the first time we are seeing you in 2010, Welcome Back! I guess the year is fully underway and an interesting year it is going to be. It has been intriguing to note the increase of "end times" conversations and a movie like 2012 can only fuel the fire. My sense is that the challenge isn't 2012 but rather 2010 and the question is, "How are you going to get the most out of 2010?"
As a Northfield Community, we have an exciting year of Preaching, Teaching, Ministry and Mission. At the moment we are considering "Life-changing Questions for 2010" ending on the 7th February with the topic "How do I live through a Financial Crisis" presented by Dr. Wessel Bentley.
From the 14th February we are looking at "How Jesus touches lives", a series that will help us understand Jesus more fully and be challenged to live our lives more holistically.
Our Easter programme will as always, be deeply meaningful for us and a highlight will be the dramatic presentation called "The Witness". Look out for a number of announcements calling for participants. The production is a powerful evangelical tool and we will be encouraged, at the time, to bring along people to experience "The Witness" and join us in discovering their own Easter Story.
After Easter we enter into an exciting Journey of Renewal where we explore the significant components of our lives, inviting renewal into each of these areas. This promises to be an extraordinary opportunity to take our lives to a completely new level of living. There will be Preaching, Teaching and Experiential components to this journey.
2010 is going to be an exciting and engaging year for us at Northfield and as a Ministry Team we can't wait to get going.
May 2010 be everything you need it to be.
