Dear Friends,
Warm greetings!
Today we share two invitations with you. We hope that you will think about them and respond with your participation. Both invitations present opportunities or us to be renewed in our discipleship to Christ and relationship with God.
First of all, we are really excited to say that Dallas Willard will be with us here in Benoni in August. Dallas is considered throughout the world to be one of the leading teachers in Christian Spiritual Formation. He works within an academic setting as Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California, but also teaches extensively within the Christian church. He will be teaching at a 3 day event during the week (3-5 August) - LIVING WITH GOD TODAY, and on Saturday, 7 August will do a one day seminar - LEARNING TO DO WHAT JESUS SAID, where he will pay particular attention to the areas of stress, anger and sexuality.
Booking early is essential since there will be limited places available. Registration forms are available at the Info desk or speak to Lyn at the Church office.
Secondly, next week here at Northfield, to coincide with the World Cup, we will begin a 4 week sermon series THE CUP OF LIFE. Our themes for the four weeks will be:
June 20 The Cup of Adventure
June 27 The Cup of Joy
July 4 The Cup of Victory
July 11 The Cup of Courage
