Dear Friends
This is the day we celebrate the Risen Christ. Because of this day we have the opportunity to be in a relationship with God in a new way. A way that grows faith, gives hope and shares love. The early Christians were called the "People of the Way."
May this Easter be the time that you reaffirm your faith in Jesus. Maybe this is the Easter that you welcome Jesus into your life for the very first time. Easter is the reminder of God's invitation to us: Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I'll come right in and sit down to supper with you. (Rev 3:20 The Message)
150 DAYS OF RENEWAL
Today is the day that we begin 150 days of Renewal. For the next 150 days we will be exploring various themes in our Preaching and Teaching, and creating opportunities to experience different aspects of our Faith Walk in a new and refreshing way.
The first Preaching theme, beginning today, is "Jesus - Master of Life."
Over the next six weeks, we will deal with issues of failure, depression, burnout, change and death, asking the question, "How do we live a Resurrected Life?" The invitation is to come along for the journey of renewal. Today we celebrate: Jesus is risen!
A Prayer: God the Father, by whose glory Christ was raised from the dead, strengthen us to walk with him in his risen life; and may almighty God bless us, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
