Weekly Greeting: Sunday 10 April

Dear friends,

Warm greetings!

One of our hopes for Northfield Methodist is that we become more of a praying community. After all, imagine if. . .

. . .every day we had 24/7 prayer happening in our prayer "boiler" room;

. . .after every service of worship there were Northfielders praying for one another in our common struggles and needs;

. . .every Wednesday those who were sick and
injured would find their way to the Healing Well for ministry and healing prayer;

. . .each cell was a place where its members could learn how to praise God together;

Weekly Greeting: Sunday 9 May

Dear Friends

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers with us today! Today we give thanks for you. We hope that it will be a special day. We think also of our own mothers. We give thanks to God for all that they have meant to us.

Today is a day for us also to pray for all mothers estranged from their children, or who wonder where they are, or who today will be totally forgotten. Especially, we hold in our hearts those who long to be mothers but who, for some reason or circumstance, are not.

Weekly Greeting: Sunday 25 April

Dear Friends

The "Mighty Men Conference" was a significant experience for nearly 200 Northfield and Benoni Central men who attended. Some lives were changed - Every life was touched. Almost impossible to describe is the sensation of sitting among an estimated 400 000 men who in unison shout "Amen!" The sound must have been heard for many kilometres in the surrounding hills and valleys.
