blessing
Weekly Greeting: Sunday 13 February
Dear friends-
Welcome to worship today! As many of you know, we are presently involved in a sermon series called Counterfeit Gods. It is based on a book with the same title by Tim Keller.
Weekly Greeting: Sunday 6 February
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings! Welcome to worship today at Northfield Methodist Church. If you are visiting us for the first time, it is great to have you with us.
Presently we are involved in a sermon series entitled COUNTERFEIT GODS based on Tim Keller’s book by the same name. Together we have been learning that idolatry is alive and well in our lives and our world. An idol, we have seen, is anything that grabs centre stage of our lives. Often an idol can be a very good thing in itself!
Weekly Greeting: Sunday 30 May
Dear Friends
Having just moved into the second third of our 150 days of renewal, we ask God's Spirit to breathe change into our lives. At two of the morning services we also celebrate families and welcome eight new members into Northfield at the 10am service.
Weekly Greeting: Sunday 25 October
Dear Friends
Our theme today reminds us that God has given every person gifts and abilities no matter how humble we feel we are. We are all different. Some have a lot, some have a little. But we all have a unique contribution we can make to the church and the work of God.
Weekly Greeting - Sunday 25 January 2009
Dear Friends
The Induction Service was an absolute blessing. Thank you to those who shared it with me. I am also aware of all those who attend the other services and so were not able to be part of that moment, thank you for your prayers. Thank you also to those who organised the Tea and eats - for your gift of love and sacrifice of time, thank you.
KPMG Christmas Party - Kingsway Primary School
On Sunday 2nd December 2007, the Kingsway Primary school, which is responsible for educating many of the children who are cared for at our outreach project - Point of Light, were delighted and amazed at the festivities that awaited them. The school was transformed into a place of celebration and joyous activity. 100 children aged from seven to ten years of age were treated to an early Christmas party, thanks to KPMG. The school was a buzz with jumping castles, face painters and plenty of delicious goodies to eat!
