Phil Togwell

Weekly Greeting - Sunday 3 August

Dear Friends

TO PRAY IS TO CHANGE

During this past week Phil Togwell and Ian Newman have gently prodded us to engage in prayer seriously and sacrificially. This is the hope for our nation, our community, our families and ourselves.

For when we pray, the Presence of God is made real and Jesus' prayer "I in them and you in me" John 17:23 is born out in human flesh. Amazing things happen; people come to Christ, God-incidences occur more frequently and we are changed to become more like Jesus.

Real change happens when Jesus followers humble themselves, gather together in two and threes to pray, and dare to take Jesus seriously in seeking to live obediently to Him. The Kingdome comes on earth as it is in heaven.

Our prayer is that Northfielders will be stirred up in prayer and that we will see a new vigour in our life together as the People of God.

Much love to you all!

Weekly Greeting: Sunday 13 July

Dear Friends

Warm greetings.

If you are hearing a lot of buzz around the phrase "24/7 Prayer" here is a little more explanation. 24/7 Prayer is a world-wide movement of prayer that takes prayer onto the streets. Through this movement God has reached into the lives of so many people who would never be seen in church. We are so happy that we will have two folk from the 24/7 Prayer movement with us here at Northfield for a whole week, beginning on Monday, 28 July. They are Philip Togwell and Ian Newman. They will be sharing their stories in many different parts of Northfield. Have a close look at their itinerary with us and make sure that you don't miss out. The big event is on Saturday morning, 2 August and it is called Living the Kingdom-life. Early registration is important and you will see the details inside today's bulletin.
