Some News

Sadly, I have to tell about 3 staff members who are standing down at the end of this year. They are John Langley (retiring), Stephen Holly (exploring other options) and Carel Venter (joining a commercial enterprise that is tithing his time back to Northfield so that he will continue to have oversight of our Youth Department for 2008). Thank you for all the work and effort you put into the growth of our church and for your faithfulness in God's service. I, along with all Northfielders, pray God's blessing in your future endeavours.
Some feedback on Norfest. A big, big thank you to all who worked so hard to make Norfest a success. There was a lovely spirit of togetherness on campus, which was exemplified by the attitude of the cast of The Witness whose desire was simply to glorify Jesus by telling the Gospel story through music. The crafters were very appreciative of our treatment of them and are queuing up for next year. The pancake stall was...........! Oh yes, the financial side was good as well - between Norfest, The Witness, Coffee and Book shops and the White Elephant Sale, roughly R70 to R80 thousand Rand was raised.
The target for our Bond Campaign is R200 000 00. We are just short of this target and hope that by the end of the year we might in fact exceed the target.
Once again, a warm thank you to all Northfielders.
God Bless
Schalk
