Northfield Methodist Church

Northfield has three permanent choirs:

The Main Choir: A mixed choir comprising thirty eight voices, who sing at the 8:00 and 10:00am Sunday services. Rehearsals take place on a Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00  

Ladies Choir: A small ladies choir of twelve voices, with a unique singing style, who sing once a month at the 08:00 and 10:00am Sunday services and at special events. Rehearsals are on Friday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00

'We continue God's act of creation as we discover and use our creative abilities - we become co-creators with God' Elizabeth O' Connor (Eighth day of Creation) This ministry group meet every Monday from 3-5pm in the Fellowship Hall to create the banners which form a beautiful part of our worship.Our meetings are a time of expressing our faith, drawing, cutting, stitching and sticking whilst listening to each other and to God. As one of the five main foundational pillars characteristic of a biblically-functioning community, all of which Northfield accordingly seeks to direct the demonstration of its service to God, worship is given precedence by our church community within its identity and ministry.

With the membership of Northfield being as large and diverse as it is, the worship expression of the church has developed a similar character of diversity, accommodating a spectrum of worship styles from the expected traditional through to the emerging contemporary genres.
